The winners in the 7th Annual Mike Martin Memorial Pier Tournament collect their prizes after a long weekend of fishing. The tournament awarded $100 first and $50 second place prizes in six categories: In the sheepshead division, J.M. Dupree had a sweep, weighing in 2.87 and 2.22 lb. fish to take first and second place. Kenny Burgess topped the spanish mackerel category with a 3.5 lb. fish, and Daniel Lee's 2.28 lb. spaniard took second. Doug Keicher landed a 2.65 lb. pompano to earn first in that category with Mary Eastman's .46 lb. pomp in second place. Mike Martin weighed a 2.37 lb. flounder for first place, with Chas Smith's 2.29 taking second. Donald Hall swept the bluefish leaderboard with .99 and .92 lb. fish. Myrtle Williams earned first place sea mullet with a .92 lb. fish, and Al Eastman's .69 lb. mullet secured second. A .36 lb. spot gave Daniel Lee that first place check, followed closely by Rick Lafreniere's .35 lb. fish. Earning first place in the Children's Division, Nick Burghardt weighed a 1.68 lb. flounder good for first, and Conner Lee earned second place with a .94 lb. sea mullet.
