Jacksonville Speckled Trout Tournament

Capt. Ricky Kellum and Derrick Barbee accept their winnings in the Jacksonville Speckled Trout Tournament from Tournament Director Danny Sbrocco. They scaled a quartet of specks weighing 12.59 lbs. to take home the title.

The 10^th Annual FISHTHIS Jacksonville Speckled Trout Tournament was held November 3 out of Casper’s Marina in Swansboro.

The winners were as follows: 1^st place: Capt. Ricky Kellum/Derrick Barbee, Jacksonville; 2^nd place: Todd Matthews/Eric Swain/Ronnie Regan, Swansboro; 3^rd place: Jason Suter, Jacksonville; 4^th place: John Gainey/R.D. Benedict/Parker Benedict, Swansboro (winners of largest fish at 3.94 lbs.); and 5^th place: Buddy Gainey/Jake Gainey, Swansboro.

Evan Sewell topped the event’s Junior Angler category, and Kasey Kellum was the tournament’s Top Lady Angler.
