Onslow Bay Open

CFHBA Fish Tales Tournament
Thursday, August 19th, 2010Featuring competitions for flounder, red drum, speckled trout, and king mackerel, the Cape Fear Home Builder’s Association held their second annual Fish Tales Tournament out of Dockside Marina on August 14th.

Mike Martin Memorial Pier Tournament
Thursday, August 19th, 2010Landing a 1.53 lb. speckled trout on the final morning of the tournament, Jacksonville, NC’s Kerry Gibson took home the $1000 bounty on the heaviest speck caught during the Mike Martin Memorial Pier Tournament, held August 14-15 at Surf City Pier.

Wild King Classic
Thursday, August 12th, 2010Ryan Clark and Wilmington’s “Neverenuff” fishing team had just enough to take home the top spot at the inaugural Wild King Classic, held August 6-8 out of Seapath Marina and the Wild Wing Cafe, scaling a 33.2 lb. king mackerel to win by half a pound.
