They’ve been hosting the tournament for about 10 years out of the Seapath Yacht Club in Wrightsville Beach. Boats were allowed to fish from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The top fish this year was brought in by Rick and Amy Stafford of Greensboro, NC. Their spanish weighed in at 1 lb. 6 oz. Second place went to Jim Hobbs, of Wilmington. His fish weighed 1 lb. 5 oz. Jimmy McGee, of Wilmington, took third place with a 1 lb. 4 oz. spanish.

A fish cookout was held that evening as awards were handed out. All three top spots were awarded a plaque, and the first place finisher was also awarded a rod donated by Bug-Em-Bait Co.
