QUICK FACTS

Entry Fee: $125 per boat before July 7; $150 per boat after July 7
Over $15,000 in cash and prizes to be awarded (based on 100 entries)

Winners based on boat’s single heaviest flounder and/or single heaviest red drum
TWTs: Flounder, Red Drum, and Aggregate

One Day of Fishing
No Checkouts & No Boundaries

Live Weigh-In encouraged but not required (no penalties)
Fish with as many anglers on your boat as you like (no limitations)

Complimentary Captains’ Party (Friday–hosted by Anheuser Busch, Sweetwater Brewery, and Papa John’s Pizza)
Complimentary Awards Dinner (Saturday–dinner buffet provided by Wild Wing Cafe)

Captains’ Meetings: Friday, July 18, at 5:00 pm and at 7:00 pm at Wild Wing Cafe
Captains’ Party: Friday, July 18, from 4:00-8:00 pm at Wild Wing Cafe
Fishing Time: Saturday, July 19, from 6:00 am-4:00 pm (no lines in the water before 6:00 am)
Weigh-In: Saturday, July 19, from 1:00-4:00 pm (must be in line by 4:00 pm) at Wrightsville Beach Marina
Awards Dinner: Saturday, July 19, from 4:30-6:30 pm at Wild Wing Cafe
Awards Ceremony: Saturday, July 19, at 6:30 pm at Wild Wing Cafe

SPECIAL PRIZES

Live Weigh-In Bonus: Weigh in your flounder and/or red drum alive and get an extra $20 payout (flounder and/or red drum must be on the leaderboard).

Guaranteed Cover Appearance: The Wrightsville Beach Inshore Challenge is the only tournament that can guarantee the winner a cover shot with Fisherman’s Post Newspaper.

SeaTow Prize: SeaTow will be awarding a $100 gift certificate (to Tex’s Tackle) to the SeaTow member that weighs in the heaviest flounder.

Got-Em-On Prize: This award ($250 cash) goes to the heaviest flounder weighed in by a current Got-Em-On Club member.

Guaranteed Junior Angler Prizes: Each junior angler that weighs in a flounder or red drum will receive a Betts Old Salt cast net (limit one per boat).

Century Rods Prize: Every boat that weighs in a flounder or red drum will be automatically entered into the Century Rods Raffle where we are giving away a factory-custom Century rod ($300+). The Century Rods Raffle will be drawn Saturday at the Awards Ceremony, and you must be present to win.

 

BENEFICIARIES

The Cape Fear Community College Marine Tech Club serves as a platform for students in the Marine Technology program to be actively involved in their field of study, and this includes volunteer work with future and potential employers, as well as community service.
