Saturday, October 16, marked the fifth annual CCA NC Inside & Out Tournament.  In spite of cold temperatures and gusty winds, dedicated teams from all across the state showed up to fish the event with proceeds benefiting the N.C. artificial reef enhancement program.

Smithfield, NC’s John Branch guided Team Bite Me to a first place finish in the Inside Division with the help of a 5.4 lb. redfish, the largest of the event, and a total 7.15 lb. aggregate.

Second place went to the Crystal Coast’s Bert Owens. He and Rich Broughton, of Team Fly Away, brought in an aggregate of 5.22 lbs.

Jay Dail and Jim Hardin, of Team Grady-White, took home the victory in the king mackerel division of the CCA Inside/Out Tournament with a 9.5 lb. fish.
