Mark Dickson, at Shallow Minded Guide Fishing, reports king mackerel have been the hot bite from Myrtle Beach rocks, 390/390, and 410/510. There are 16 to 17 inch spanish along the beach being taken on clark spoons, but if you want more of a pull there are plenty of barracudas and amberjacks on the Sherman wreck. Speckled trout are along the jetty, and fish are weighing in all the way up to 6 lbs. The reds in the area have slowed this week, but they shouldn’t pass up a live bait for long.

Patrick Kelly, at Captain Smiley’s Fishing Charters, reports the best bite has been 12 to 18 inch flounder eating live baits in the Little River inlet along the jetties. The Jim Caudle reef is holding some bigger fish up to 5.5 lbs if you can get out in the ocean. Spanish mackerel are all over the shoals, and shrimp in the inlet channel will give you a good shot at some ladyfish action. The speckled trout bite has been along the jetty rocks. A few cobia are still hanging around, but they are much smaller.
