Paul Browns Devil

A treasured secret among Texas trophy trout anglers for years, the Corky lures’ soft body and unique action have been responsible for many a sow speck (including the 13+ lb. former Texas state record). Demand for the distinctive lures was so great that creator Paul Brown often had trouble keeping up in his home shop. Fortunately, MirrOlure has solved that problem, as they now produce Paul Brown Originals under the watchful eye of Brown himself.

The line includes three models—the Original, the Fat Boy, and the Devil—all available in 25 vibrant colors.

The Original is Paul’s classic bait, a mullet-shaped lure with a soft body, suspending action, and large, lifelike eye. Fished with a twitching retrieve, the Original darts erratically and stays in the strike zone, tempting bites from big trout, redfish, and other inshore predators. The Original is also available in a floating model for super shallow situations.

Paul Browns Fatboy

As the name implies, Paul Brown’s Fat Boy offers gamefish a wider profile, resembling a menhaden or other deep-bodied bait. Also available in floating or suspending models, the Fat Boy is slightly heavier than the Original, making for longer casts, but it doesn’t lose any of the irregular action of its slimmer cousin.

Paul Brown’s Devil shares the svelte profile of the Original, but the bait terminates in a “rat tail.”

Even slight rod twitches produce plenty of movement in the slender tail, a unique action that provokes violent strikes from fish who’ve grown accustomed to more conventional lures.

Paul Browns Original

All the Paul Brown Originals feature a built-in wire harness (supporting a pair of treble hooks on the Original and Fat Boy and a single belly hook on the Devil), a vacuumed rattle, and scientific weighting for the perfect sink rate and attitude.
