Rockster GO 2
If you are looking for a waterproof speaker that sounds great without costing a fortune, Fender’s Rockster GO 2 is worth a look. It’s a collaboration with Teufel, a trusted German audio brand, and it pairs Fender’s guitar‑amp styling with Teufel’s German‑engineered audio, and it does so in a compact, rugged speaker.
At just $130, this waterproof speaker gives solid performance and real durability for the money.
The Rockster GO 2 can handle some abuse. The impact‑resistant rubber shell and rubberized edges soak up bumps and drops, and the housing keeps grit and salt from working their way in. It carries an IP67 rating, so it can handle being submerged for up to thirty minutes in three feet of water. That means sea spray, rainstorms, beach, and boat abuse won’t faze it.
A strap on the back makes the Rockster easy to mount on a boat rail, kayak crate, or surf cart, so it’s always where you need it.
The Rockster GO 2 puts out clear, strong audio that doesn’t get fuzzy or distorted when you turn up the volune, and for a speaker this size, it gets surprisingly loud. That’s because this speaker uses two lightweight aluminum drivers and a passive bass element, plus Teufel’s Dynamore processing, which widens the sound and adds deeper bass than you’d expect, keeping its clarity outdoors better than cheaper options.
Voices come through clean, music stays sharp, and everything sounds balanced whether you’re on the beach, in the boat, or hanging out in the yard.
With about 28 hours of battery, the Rockster GO 2 will last through full days on the water or long sessions on the beach surf‑fishing without needing a recharge. The battery life removes the worry of the speaker dying halfway through a trip, making it a reliable companion for long outings. When needed, USB‑C charging keeps recharges simple from a power bank or vehicle.
Overall, the Fender Rockster GO 2 is a compact, durable, and great‑sounding speaker that fits the outdoor lifestyle. It’s tough enough for salt, sand, and weather, loud enough to cut through wind and surf, and priced so you don’t have to overthink the purchase.
