Manns Tidewater Waker

For the 2008 season, Mann’s Bait Company is making several exciting additions to their popular line of saltwater hard baits.

The first, the Mann’s Tidewater Waker, makes the company’s previous shallow running crankbait, the Tidewater Mid 1-Minus, look like a deep diver. On the retrieve, the Waker runs just 1-3″ below the water’s surface, creating a bulge and a large wake that fish can follow right to the lure.

Offering an action that few flats-dwelling species have seen before (even in heavily pressured areas), the Waker draws explosive surface strikes. Its 3/8 ounce weight and 3″ length allow anglers to take advantage of long casts, covering large amounts of water speedily. The Waker features a pair of 4X strong saltwater treble hooks, comes in 8 colors, and retails for $4.99.

Next up in Mann’s 2008 saltwater lineup is an update to the venerable Stretch series of diving plugs whose true-running action and 8-50′ diving capabilities are responsible for countless grouper, striped bass (including the new 73 lb. Virginia state record), and other saltwater gamefish the world over.

The best-selling Stretch 25+ and 30+ have received a makeover featuring textured bodies with raised gillplates, light reflecting finishes, and large 3D eyes. Like all the Stretch+ lures, the Textured Stretch 25+ and 30+ are ruggedly built to handle powerful saltwater gamefish, and feature 4X strong red saltwater treble hooks.

The Textured Stretch 25+ is 8″ long, weighs 2 ounces, and retails for $7.99. The Textured Stretch 30+ is 11″ long, weighs 6 ounces, and retails for $13.99. Both are available in a range of 20 colors to cover virtually any situation.
