On Oct 25th, the Onslow Bay Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association North Carolina hosted its 11th Annual Billy Burch Wide Open Veterans’ Fishing Tournament at the Water Way Inn in Cedar Point. CCA NC hosted 85 veterans with the help of 37 volunteer boat captains.
The ocean was choppy and the wind was chilly, but the volunteer captains still put their veterans on some fish. The smiles, stories, and camaraderie on the water are a reminder why this event happens every year.
CCA NC sends out a huge thank you to all the volunteer captains, sponsors, and supporters who made this event possible.
