Anglers know as well as anyone—the best can always get better. Costa has taken that sentiment to heart with the new Costa Fantail PRO.

The slimmed-down brother of the Blackfin PRO also boasts all the newest Costa PRO Series tech: a vented and fully-adjustable nose pad for a customizable fit; sweat channels and eyewire drains designed to help keep your vision clear; side shields and hooding to keep light from leaking in; and stickier Hydrolite and metal keeper slots to keep your frames on your face and the sweat and sun out of your eyes.

The Fantail PRO also boasts Costa’s 580 lens tech—a color-enhancing, polarized glass lens that is scratch resistant and lighter and thinner than other polarized glass lenses on the market.

Costa 580 lenses were designed by in-house light spectrum experts to enhance colors because standard sunglass lenses fell short. The lens’ multi-patented technology manages light by:

(1) Absorbing harmful high-energy blue light (HEV) (this cuts haze and blur for greater clarity, and in addition to 100% protection from UV light, 580 technology also absorbs HEV light known to cause macular degeneration, pterygium, cataracts, and other eye diseases);

(2) Enhancing reds, greens, and blues (blocking harsh yellow light at 580 nm on the visible light spectrum boosts the amounts of red, greens, and blues naturally, enhancing colors and contrast);

(3) Filtering out harsh yellow (this creates enhanced color, sharper contrast, and higher definition).
